- How to lead/follow
- Basic turns
How many classes do I need before I know how to dance?
This really depends on how fast you are able to learn what the teacher is teaching you. Our instructors where possible try to adjust to your tempo. Factors to consider are your partner, group size, complexity of the dance lesson. It also depends on your own expectations. For example: learning how to play the keys on a piano doesn’t make you a pianist. The rhetorical question would be: “what kind of a pianist would you like to be?”
Do I need to bring a partner?
This is not a requirement, but since this is a dance for couples, for the ladies it is recommended to invite a male partner. If you can’t find one no worries we always have male volunteers around.
Do I need to be dressed specifically?
Wearing something comfortable is recommended
If you have mastered the basics of Bachata and you want to learn more… The intermediate level will teach you turn patterns, turns, musical interpretation, space awareness, social dance ethics and more. As an intermediate you will further broaden your skill set, be able to refine and define your own style.

How do I know if I am ready for this Intermediate level?
Your instructor will make an assessment of your current basic dance skill. If you have taken classes in the past or have some form of certification, your instructor may still advise you to take a few beginners classes, prior to entering the intermediate level.”
Can I take more than one class a week?
Sure you can… we have various Combo Deals where you can dance and choose as many flavors as you like.
