In our last announcement, we published to close the studio and cancel all our socials until March 31. We are now entering the month of May.
It’s is clear our sector is the one that will be hit the hardest by the internationally implemented social distancing measurements.
A sector to be categorized or better yet labeled as non-essential, we will most probably be the last to receive the possibility to reopen.
This causes big problems not only for the entire cultural and entertainment industry but also for hotels, restaurants, and bars. As a dance school, our perspective on the short term is very unclear. Just like any other event like nightclubs, concerts, and festivals, for us, it is very uncertain how and in what form we can organize our next social dance event while having these social distancing measurements in place.
As a dance school, we are forced to re-evaluate “temporarily” our business model and our entire approach of giving dance classes.
So far the only option seems online classes since the ban on gathering is also being enforced.
It’s clear there’s a lot we don’t know yet for sure about this virus, unfortunately, the abundance of misleading factless information makes it also very challenging to think of solutions or timeframe for a restart. At this point, our business, sector is completely at the mercy of a few in our government and the department of health.
We hope to soon be able to launch our online dance classes. Stay tuned
